In May of 2000, Mike DiFabion took his 10 years of experience in the remodeling industry and combined that with his life experiences in sales, marketing, production, scheduling, operations, and all the functions of running a company.
The result was DiFabion Remodeling Inc. Mike has designed and executed over 1500 remodeling projects over the past 20 years, gaining a broad understanding of all types of projects.
Combining that, with the addition of Michael DiFabion Jr. and the design department, DiFabion Remodeling has become a predominantly referral based, design/build remodeling firm, excelling at kitchens and baths.
The implementation of in-house carpenters with over 100 years of combined experience allows DiFabion Remodeling to execute almost any plan.
Additionally, Mike has gained national recognition through the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI), by consistently winning Contractor of the Year (COTY) awards and maintaining two prestigious designations, Master Certified Remodeler (MCR) and Certified Kitchen and Bath Remodeler (CKBR).
Master Certified Remodeler (MCR)
The highest certification one can receive in the remodeling industry. Mike DiFabion has become the first MCR in Charlotte and only the 15th in the nation. Qualifications for this prestigious designation include 10 consecutive years as a Certified Remodeler, 1 additional certification through NARI (Certified Kitchen and Bath Remodeler-CKBR), leadership involvement in the local chapter of NARI as an officer, leadership involvement in the local community as a church officer, and a letter of recommendation from the current president of the local NARI chapter. The Master Certified Remodeler identifies Certified Remodelers who have withstood the test of time and continue to be successful within the industry, while strictly adhering to the industry’s Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.
Certified Kitchen and Bath Remodeler (CKBR) Minimum requirement of five years experience in the kitchen and bath industry. Certified Green Professional (CGP) The National Association of Home Builders' Certified Green Professional™ designation recognizes builders, remodelers and other industry professionals who incorporate green building principles into homes- without driving up the cost of construction. Classwork leading to the designation provides a solid background in green building methods, as well as the tools to reach consumers, from the organization leading the charge to provide market-driven green building solutions to the home building industry.
