NARI Professional Certification
Master Certified Remodeler (MCR)
The highest certification one can receive in the remodeling industry. Qualifications for this prestigious designation include 10 consecutive years as a Certified Remodeler, 1 additional certification through NARI (Certified Kitchen and Bath Remodeler-CKBR), leadership involvement in the local chapter of NARI as an officer, leadership involvement in the local community as a church officer, and a letter of recommendation from the current president of the local NARI chapter. The Master Certified Remodeler identifies Certified Remodelers who have withstood the test of time and continue to be successful within the industry, while strictly adhering to the industry's Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.

National Association of Home Builders
Certified Green Professional
The National Association of Home Builders’ Certified Green Professional™ designation recognizes builders, remodelers and other industry professionals who incorporate green building principles into homes— without driving up the cost of construction. Classwork leading to the designation provides a solid background in green building methods, as well as the tools to reach consumers, from the organization leading the charge to provide market-driven green building solutions to the home building industry.

NAHB and EPA Professional Certification
Lead Renovation, Repair and Painting

The requirements apply to anyone who could potentially expose children to lead dust during their work and includes builders, painters, plumbers, and electricians. Under the new rules, each renovation site must have at least one certified renovator assigned to oversee the project. This one-day, EPA-approved course meets the training requirements for certified enovators and includes tips for training your crew to use lead safe work practices during the project. By April 2010, this certification will become mandatory! Make sure your firm is ready for this new regulatory mandate by taking our Lead Renovation, Repair and Painting course BEFORE the deadline hits.

Certified Remodeler (CR)
Requires five years of remodeling experience. Must pass an all day examination covering business management; building codes and construction law; plans and specifications; tools and equipment; safety; standards of practice; math; existing and special construction; site work; masonry and concrete; rough and finish carpentry; roofing and siding; insulation; interior finished; kitchens and baths; plumbing; mechanical and electrical systems; roofing, siding, windows, door.

NARI Professional Certification
Certified Kitchen and Bath Remodeler (CKBR)
Minimum requirement of five years experience in the Kitchen and Bath industry. An all day examination must be passed covering, business management; ethics in business, building codes and construction law; plans and specifications; math; existing and special construction; finish work, plumbing; mechanical and electrical systems; and lighting.
